The Data Protection Officer reports to the CEO for administrative purposes but has an independent reporting line to the Supervisory Board's Audit Committee, as required by Article 38 GDPR. The Chief Information Security Officer likewise has a standing quarterly slot with the Audit Committee independent of the executive reporting line.
