About Terravek
Terravek turns satellite, aerial and in-situ sensor data into decisions that utilities, port authorities, railways, farmers and water boards can act on the same working day.
Who we are
Terravek Systems N.V. is a privately held Naamloze Vennootschap headquartered in Delft, the Netherlands. We employ 742 people across eight countries and reported revenue of €148.6M in FY2025.
The company was founded on 14 March 2007 by Saskia Bakhuis and Dr. Merijn Vroegh, spinning a laser-altimetry processing toolchain out of the Delft Institute of Applied Geomatics. It traded as Vroegh & Bakhuis Geodata B.V. until 2009, as Terravek Systems B.V. until 2016, and has been a naamloze vennootschap since.
We design and operate the ORBIS Earth observation platform and four applications built on it, build hyperspectral optical payloads at our München facility, manufacture the FIELDKIT in-situ sensor family, and operate a ground station in northern Sweden and a permanent calibration range in Overijssel.
What we will not do
Terravek sells for civil applications only. Every acquisition request is screened against our dual-use policy, reviewed by the General Counsel and the Chief Scientific Officer. We have declined contracts on this basis and expect to again. Our dual-use and export control position.
