Merijn Vroegh
Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer
Biography
Merijn wrote the first 40,000 lines of what became ORBIS. His doctoral work on error propagation in airborne laser altimetry is still the basis of the quality model Terravek ships with every delivery.
As CTO he owns architecture, the technology roadmap and the build-versus-buy calls. He has resisted rewriting the ORBIS geometric core three times and considers this among his more valuable contributions. He chairs the internal Architecture Review Board, which meets fortnightly in Meridiaan (5.10) and whose decision records are published to the whole company.
He holds nine granted patents in sensor fusion and co-supervises two PhD candidates at DIAG. He is a reluctant but competent conference speaker.
