Accessibility statement
Our WCAG 2.2 AA conformance status, including the open gap list.
Terravek is committed to WCAG 2.2 level AA for terravek.com and for
ORBIS Viewer. We are not fully there, and this page lists what is outstanding rather than
claiming otherwise.

Known issues on this website
- Contrast on closed-vacancy tags (
TVK-A11Y-0042). The muted style used for closed vacancies measures 4.6:1 — it passes AA but not AAA. Accepted; not scheduled for change. - Organisation chart on narrow viewports. The nested list conveys hierarchy through indentation, which is preserved semantically but is hard to follow below 360 px. A table alternative is on the backlog for Q4 2026.
- Some data tables lack a caption. Being remediated progressively; all tables have programmatic column headers.
Published PDFs
Our PDFs are not currently tagged to PDF/UA. This is a genuine gap and it affects screen reader users disproportionately. If you need any document on this site in an accessible format — tagged PDF, plain text, HTML or large print — write to webmaster@terravek.com and we will produce it within five working days at no charge. We would rather do that than have you struggle with a document we should have tagged.
What we have done
- Full keyboard operability including the main navigation and all forms
- Visible focus indicators meeting WCAG 2.2 focus appearance requirements
- Semantic headings, landmarks and a skip link on every page
- Light and dark themes, both meeting AA contrast, honouring the operating system preference
- Reduced-motion support
- Text resizable to 200% without loss of content or function
- Wide tables scroll within their own container rather than forcing the page to scroll
- No content that flashes or auto-plays
For ORBIS Viewer specifically, every measurement shown on the map is also available as a queryable table — built for screen reader users and now the fastest route for everyone. Why we built it that way.
Assessment approach
Self-assessment against WCAG 2.2 using automated tooling plus manual keyboard and screen reader testing (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS). Owner: Nadia Bouzid, Frontend Engineer. An independent audit is scheduled for Q1 2027.
