Terravek has been awarded the 2025 Geospatial Impact Award for Coastal Resilience by the European Geospatial Forum, for the storm-surge early warning service delivered with the Zeeland Water Board.
The service combines TIDEWATCH satellite monitoring, 46 FIELDKIT 400-M gauges and ORBIS interferometric settlement monitoring across 340 km of flood defence, and has delivered surge warnings on average 3.5 hours earlier than the previous process.
The award was received by Dr. Lucia Moreno and Jasper Vermeulen at the Forum's annual conference.
