Vacancy
Site Reliability Engineer
Tallinn, Estonia · Engineering & Product · Permanent, full-time
About the team
The Tallinn platform group runs ORBIS Cloud across two European regions. We are eight engineers and we are hiring a ninth because the on-call rotation should not be a heroic activity.
What you will do
- Own service level objectives for a set of ORBIS Cloud services and the error budget policy behind them
- Extend the Terraform estate that defines eu-nl-1 and eu-de-1
- Improve observability — we run Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry
- Take part in a 1-in-8 on-call rotation, compensated
- Write and run game days and blameless post-incident reviews
What we are looking for
- Four or more years in SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering
- Production Kubernetes experience, not just cluster creation
- Infrastructure as code as a default habit, not a project
- Comfortable being paged and comfortable saying when a system is not ready to be
- Working English; Estonian is not required
Skills and technologies
These are the things we cannot train quickly. Everything else we can.
- Kubernetes
- Terraform
- Prometheus & Grafana
- Go or Python
- Linux
- PostgreSQL/PostGIS
- Incident command
Useful, not required
- Experience with GitOps (Argo CD)
- Exposure to geospatial data at scale
- Kafka
What we offer
- 28 days annual leave
- Private health insurance
- Hybrid working, 2 office days a week
- €1,500 annual learning budget
- Sports compensation €400/year
- Employee share participation plan after 12 months
