Vacancy
Frontend Engineer, ORBIS Viewer
Delft, Netherlands · Engineering & Product · Permanent, full-time
About the team
ORBIS Viewer is how most people experience Terravek. It renders very large raster and vector datasets in a browser and it has to be accessible, because a meaningful share of our public sector customers are legally required to buy accessible software.
What you will do
- Build and maintain the ORBIS Viewer front end
- Own accessibility conformance and the remediation backlog
- Contribute to the shared Terravek design system
- Work directly with UX and with the tiling team on rendering performance
What we are looking for
- Three or more years building production front ends in TypeScript and React
- Genuine WCAG knowledge, not a checklist you were handed once
- Interest in maps and large data, or willingness to develop one
Skills and technologies
These are the things we cannot train quickly. Everything else we can.
- TypeScript
- React
- WebGL or MapLibre
- WCAG 2.2 AA
- Vite
- Testing Library
Useful, not required
- Geospatial front-end experience
- Deck.gl
- Design system maintenance
- Dutch language
What we offer
- 8% holiday allowance
- 27 days annual leave plus public holidays
- Pension via Stichting Pensioenfonds Techniek
- Hybrid working, 2 office days a week
- €1,500 annual learning budget
- NS Business Card or bicycle scheme
- Employee share participation plan after 12 months
