Field Operations Technician

About the team
Terravek East Africa runs AGRISENSE field operations across Nakuru and Nyandarua counties, including a network of FIELDKIT in-situ nodes and a smallholder training programme.
What you will do
- Install, commission and maintain FIELDKIT nodes in the field
- Run ground-truth sampling campaigns alongside satellite acquisitions
- Support smallholder training days with the county extension service
- Report node health and field conditions through the FIELDKIT app
What we are looking for
- Diploma or degree in agriculture, environmental science or a technical field
- Comfortable working independently across rural sites
- Valid driving licence
- Swahili and English; Kikuyu or Kalenjin an advantage
Skills and technologies
These are the things we cannot train quickly. Everything else we can.
- Field survey
- Sensor installation and maintenance
- Android field applications
- Driving licence
Useful, not required
- Agronomy background
- Kikuyu or Kalenjin language
- Basic electronics
