Katrin Wiegand

Biography

Katrin joined with the Photonwerk acquisition in 2016, where she had been head of HR, and was appointed Chief People Officer in 2020. She owns talent acquisition, reward, learning, and the graduate and internship programmes.

She designed the Terravek Graduate Programme, which now takes 18–24 people a year across five countries, and the returner programme that won the 2021 Women in Geospatial Employer Award. She publishes Terravek's gender pay gap figures annually whether or not the jurisdiction requires it.

Her view of the 2016 integration is that Terravek kept the Photonwerk building name for a reason, and that acquisitions fail on identity more often than on synergies.
